Does Read promise a specific speed?
No. It does not guarantee a reading speed or improvement. Measure speed and comprehension together to understand your own progress.
What is effective speed?
Raw reading speed multiplied by comprehension. For example, 300 words per minute at 80% comprehension equals 240 effective words per minute. Unmeasured comprehension is not assumed.
Can I add my own books?
Import supported PDF, EPUB, TXT and HTML files, text or article links. Protected, scanned or unreadable documents may have limitations.
Can I read offline?
Texts already on your device can be read offline. Importing a new web article and syncing across devices need a connection.
Do all exercises measure reading?
No. Reading and comprehension practice differ from visual-attention tasks. The app shows evidence levels and keeps those scores separate.
