Delete Your Account and Data

You can delete your Odaklio account whenever you want. This page covers all Odaklio apps: Odaklio Read — published on Google Play as “Advanced Speed Reading” — along with Odaklio and Odaklio Study. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Below are two ways to do it, a list of what gets deleted, and how long it takes.

Option 1 — Delete from the app (recommended)

This is the fastest route. The deletion happens immediately, with nothing to wait for:

  • Advanced Speed Reading (Odaklio Read): Profile tab → Settings → Delete my account
  • Odaklio (mobile): Profile → Settings → Delete my account
  • Odaklio (web): Settings → Account → Delete my account
  • Once you confirm, your account and data are erased and you are signed out.

Option 2 — Request it by email

If you cannot sign in, write to kduranoglu07@gmail.com from the email address you registered with, using "Account deletion" as the subject. We will send you a confirmation email to verify the request — that step is what stops someone else deleting your account.

What Gets Deleted

Deletion permanently removes all of the following:

  • Your account: email address, name and user ID
  • Your reading data: library details, speed measurements, comprehension results, progress and reading preferences
  • Your uploaded texts: the full content of imported books and articles that was sent to the cloud
  • Your Odaklio and Study data: focus sessions, goals, tasks, notes and study cards
  • Your notification token

What Stays on Your Device

Some data never reaches a server in the first place, so deletion does not touch it: the highlights you save in Odaklio Read and your training session log live only on your phone. Removing the app from your device clears them.

The One Record That Remains

We keep a record that the deletion happened: the date, an optional reason you wrote, and an irreversible digest of your email address. That record does not contain the address itself, the address cannot be reconstructed from it, and it exists only so we can prove a deletion request was honoured.

Timing

Deletion from inside the app completes immediately. Requests by email are resolved within 30 days at the latest, and usually within a few working days. Copies held in backups are cleared within the backup cycle, within 30 days at the latest.
